Goodbye 2009

It's been an awesome and great year though it seems to come to an end that fast, yet there's so much that I've been through, so much that I've learned, so much that I've enjoyed. Really thank God for such a wonderful year. Here's a bit of a recap of the year 2009...

January. Met up with my NS friends. Catch up a lot and I learned that friendship doesnt need much words. Simple act will do. New Semester started and I'm in Foundation 2nd sem. Same old routines turn back; changed instrument to Cello and love it since.

February. Our first trip to Pangkor which was quite an out of expectation plan. Had fun and enjoyed the beaches. Totally salute the people in Teluk Intan. Their simple life and the peaceful environment. Got injured, felt tired and exhaustion yet had an awesome time with my friends. Then, it was church painting. Hope Ipoh is moving in which I saw the love and sacrifices ppl made that make the moving happen. Valentine was indeed enjoying. Had a all-singles day out. Went K-box and did treat ourselves a little.

March. A little slow down before a hectic month ahead. Lectures as usual. There was this F1 showcase in our campus. First time watching live Formula 1 on campus. This month was all relaxing and we just did a bit of sports occasionally. Had dinner at Kampung Bali. Spent some good times at home during Mid-sem break.

April. Here comes the hectic and busiest month. A lot of events, assignments, projects, dramas, studies etc. One after another. Really taught me how to cope with stress and deadlines. Had a hard time and at one point just felt like going back home. It was a month where I had my birthday celebrated in UTP for the first time, my first Dean's list award and also my first orchestra performance. Learned a lot from others and never regret joining OCM.

May. Finals. Nerding and facing the worst enemy of my entire study life, ECONOMICS. Did my best and thank God for the results. And then it was the Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. Got to see all sorts of hot air balloon going up into the sky.

June. Finally graduated foundation year. It was all going so fast. One great year with all the techie students. Really loved ICT/BIS students and even more our chinese groupmates. =) Done all sorts of things; fun, crazy, superb, bizarre, everything and not stopping there. =b

July. Soaring the Eagle, a motivational camp compulsory for all Petronas scholars. Damn it was such an awesome camp. Won't forget all those experience and memories. Friendship bonded, knowledge gain, all set for a new semester ahead.

August. It was the month of H1N1 epidemic. Wore mask to lectures and around campus. More of like for fun but it was all for good. Had a surprise for roomie's birthday. Bought pizzas and that was the night I found out Mun S'ng is such a good story teller. lol

September. We had another surprise birthday for Cheryl. Indeed it was totally a surprise =D Had a good makan at Kampung Bali. Then, it was our Genting Trip. Another awesome trip with different people.

October was totally a happening month. There were lots of things going on. We had a birthday surprise for Sis Alexis @ Slim River. It was indeed a well planned surprise XD had fun making up the whole we-just-need-a-retreat-at-slimriver scene. Then, it was Hope Ipoh's 11th Anniversary. did something different; hand painting and the little video project was wonderful. Next up was Talent Search. Met up with Juwita Suwito who performed and was one of the judges for the night. EDX 24 was a totally different experience for me. Joined PnP for the first time and indeed learned a lot of photoshop. Did quite a number of designs and was glad that I didnt learn for nothing. Had my designs printed on badges/buttons for sales during EDX and every single of it was sold. That is one achievement I didnt really expec. =) We then had another BITS (ICT/BIS) gathering after our first one that did not turn out good. It was BITS Tanglung Night. Everyone had a good time. We eat, sing, laugh, dance, talk, shout, camwhore, everything just to have fun =) Again, friendship was bonded even further.

It didnt just stop there. We had a steamboat dinner together at Pavillion. This time to spend time among the Chinese techie =) All relaxing and had a great time chit chatting among ourselves. We had our 2nd Dean's list award. Next was about gaining experience interviewing the staff of UTP. Get to go up to level 4 of IRC where all UTP staff works. Then it was the shock assignment we had for our MOB subject. Another interview session with one of the student support staff. It's all about learning and dealing with people.


November. It's yet another month for nerd-ing. Finals and this time I'm facing my 2nd worst enemy, MOB (management sub). Struggling through but thank God for His strength that I managed to get through it quite ok and thank God for the miracles. Learned that prayer really works wonders. Don't ever give up on God for He never did given up on you. Attended MNC for the 2nd time in Putrajaya. A time of great refreshing. The praise and worship was power. Sermons were good and most of all, we had a whole lot of fun.


December. A month of vacation and trips. Conquered Pulau Ketam, visited Temerloh, Pahang and Malacca, climbed Bukit Melawati, hanged out at almost all the malls, watched almost all the nicest movies in theatres, chilled out at cafes, watched drama series for hours, shopped until bored and finally had a great time on New Year Eve; steamboat @ Yuen's restaurant, hang out @ Republic and poof! It's 2010 =)

I really thank God for each and every single thing He had made it through for me. I know I wouldn't have gone through 2009 without the strength and many blessings from God. =) and of course, wouldn't have so much fun and craziness without the China Gang XD lol Alright, the name sounds funny I know but it became our signature name after some time. Rmbed it was Kavita that started calling us that. In fact, it was suppose to be China Gang part 1. lol Anyway, I am just so grateful for these bunch of people that bring colours into my life, teaching me in one way or another, learning together and doing all sorts of bizarre thing.

So 2010, I'll make you another awesome one ;)
